ABOUT US

Our Mission

The Belmont Ambassador Program provides opportunities for current students to represent Belmont in a range of settings, potentially both on and off campus, including school and community settings. Ambassadors provide support for a range of school activities including mentoring and leadership programs to support other students and other activities where their energy and enthusiasm can advance the school’s image and vision. Ambassadors may also represent Belmont either by talking about their experiences or by engaging in activities which raise aspirations and encourage the learning and progression of the entire student body.

Structure
What do Ambassadors do?

Belmont’s ambassadors are recruited from Grades 10 - 12, reflecting the diversity of the student body. They will have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities including:

  • School tours;

  • Supporting learning through peer tutoring;

  • Mentoring small groups of students;

  • Projects within the school and community; and

  • Representing Belmont at community events.

The Ideal Belmont Ambassador...

Ambassadors are:

  • Enthusiastic about life at Belmont; and

  • Eager to share their learning and experience with others.

            They will explore aspects of leadership, mentorship and effective communication. Belmont’s ambassador work is flexible throughout the year so that student ambassadors can prioritize their studies around other commitments. Ambassadors may have the opportunity to progress within the program, taking on new responsibilities throughout their time, depending on their performance and willingness to advance the program and school. Ultimately, Belmont’s ambassadors use their initiative and ensure that the school is represented positively and accurately to a range of groups.
